WICHITA -- Maurice Evans, the Missouri Valley Conference's leading
scorer, may have been snubbed by league officials in their latest
awards voting because of the controversy with the basketball program
at Wichita State University.
Evans was left off Wednesday from the five-member Scholar-Athlete
team -- despite being the conference's leading scorer and holder of a
3.34 grade point average in sports administration.
