Judge retires from Kansas Supreme court

The Capital-Journal
Kansas Supreme Court Justice Bob Abbott announced Monday that he
has retired following 26 years as an appellate court judge and 17
years before that in private practice.
Abbott, the first person appointed to the Court of Appeals when it
was re-established on Jan. 10, 1977, joined the Supeme Court in 1990.
Abbott was chief judge of the Court of Appeals from 1985 until his
appointment to the Supreme Court.
