TAX AMNESTY
An amnesty period to encourage those who owe back taxes to pay up
only makes sense at a time when the state needs every dime it can
get.
Worth a try
According to the dictionary, amnesty is a general pardon,
especially for political offenses.
Not paying taxes would certainly qualify as a political offense,
and the amnesty that Gov. Kathleen Sebelius first mentioned in her
state of the state speech, makes sense.
