If you watch Michael Zacharias closely before the puck is dropped at a Topeka ScareCrows game, you'll notice the goaltender has a specific routine.

First, he scrapes up the ice in front of the net, starting in the middle and then working left to right. Zacharias then skates between the pipes six times and bangs his stick in a particular rhythm.
