WICHITA --- Is Wichita State a pretender for the Missouri Valley Conference title or a contender?

Who knows? The same team that lost by a combined 31 points in two games over three days on the road less than a week ago turned around Thursday and shocked highly-regarded Southern Illinois 88-79 at Henry Levitt Arena.
