By 9 p.m., the party was rocking, full of teenagers bouncing
and bopping to the dizzying beat of P.O.C., the go-go band at center
stage.
Three teens worked the mikes, dancing out front, waving their
hands from side to side, whipping the crowd into a frenzy with their
chants. The music blared several blocks away, drawing a stream of
young passersby, who peered through the window to check out the
activity inside.
