Singer-songwriter Matthew Ryan doesn't like to blame others for
his misadventures: "When I was dropped by my other record label, I
looked at myself and wondered what I did wrong."
That's just the way he looks at things, Ryan said by phone from a
hotel room in Kansas City, Mo. "I do that all the time. If something
goes wrong, I first look at myself and see if I was at fault. I mean,
I can't think of a more pathetic life than to spend it blaming
everyone else for your problems."
