Army cutworms are on the march in Duchesne
|
DUCHESNE -- In some places the small black caterpillars known as
army cutworms were covering the ground so thick they gave the
appearance of a squirming blanket. In others, there were just enough
hanging around to give folks a pretty good case of the creeps.
The Duchesne Stake Center parking lot was covered with army
cutworms recently, and a road in Pleasant Valley was reported to "be
black with them." Several homeowners in the Duchesne area also ran
into large clusters of the caterpil...
