ST. GEORGE -- Juan Diego pushed home three runs in the bottom of
the sixth inning and held on in the seventh to beat Manti 4-2 and
capture its third straight 2A State Softball Championship Saturday at
The Canyons softball complex.
Morgan Dahlman pitched five perfect innings to start the game and
ended up with a two-hitter as the Soaring Eagle finished its season
24-0. Among the celebrating fans and parents, talk of a dynasty was
mentioned. Don't tell that to coach Paul Rainaldi.
