Early in "First Person Singular: I.M. Pei," a 90-minute film
on the renowned American architect airing tonight at 9 o'clock on
Channel 26, there is a sequence that memorably unites the arts of
film, music and architecture.
In sync with the resonant progressions of a Bach toccata, the
camera moves through the spacious interiors of a few of the
architect's best buildings, traveling seamlessly back and forth
between widely separated sites.
