The calendar is one of the greatest inventions of all time.

How else would we know what days to do important things such as go to work, or celebrate Health and Sports Day in Japan, or watch "Law & Order: Special Kittens Unit"?

Yes, it's great, indeed. Even though no one knows exactly who invented the calendar system in the first place, or exactly when it was done. (And honestly, how could anyone know -- they didn't have a calendar to keep track, now did they?)
