James Logan spawns young activists

UNION CITY -- Seema Rupani is pulling glossy posters from the
trunk of her car and passing them out to the dozen teenagers
surrounding her. She blasts a quick-but-deafening toot on her
bullhorn and herds the young activists to a stretch of sidewalk in
front of a KFC.
"This is going to be our first protest," she tells this report.
Rupani, who has turned 18 since the protest last weekend, is one
of the oldest in the group of sign-wielding teenagers, urging drivers
and hungry diners to boycott the fast-food chicken restaurant on
Alvarado Boulevard whose company, she says, abuses chickens.
