SFSU professor leads discovery of a new planet

An international consortium of planet hunters led by a San
Francisco State University astronomy professor has discovered a new
planet where a year passes in less than three days and whose
atmosphere is so hot a human would melt into a puddle of goo.
But what scientists like most about planet HD 149026b is its solid
core, which modeling of the planet has shown is about 70 times the
