Though gasoline prices have started to inch downward, the Bay Area's average price of regular unleaded on Tuesday was $2.17 a gallon, an increase of 27 cents from last month, AAA of Northern California said.

That's a problem for anyone who is trying to plan their family budget or run a business that relies on gasoline.
