Myers resigns as alderman in Cedarburg

Replacement could change council actions on development issues

Cedarburg -- Ald. Greg Myers has resigned from the Common Council, a move that could shift the council's approach to planning and development.

Myers, who recently bought a house outside his district, said he timed his resignation so voters can choose his successor in the spring election.

"I want there to be a competitive race for my seat in April," he said in a telephone interview.
