Gruber was true to family's musical past

To say that Daniel L. Gruber came from a musical family is somewhat of an understatement.

The family's biggest claim to fame would be Gruber's great-great uncle, Franz Gruber, who wrote the music to the Christmas song "Silent Night" in 1818.

Daniel Gruber was one of 11 children who all played instruments or sang, and several went on to careers in music. While Gruber gave up playing the clarinet years ago to start his own business, he remained a patron of music all his life.
