HARTFORD, Conn.
Stone sculpture, hand-printed fabrics and batiks made by
contemporary artists from Zimbabwe are on display at the Old State
House. The exhibition, "Shona," celebrates Zimbabwe's largest tribe
of the same name and features nearly 400 pieces in which Shona
artists represent their history and contemporary life. Through Nov.
7 at the Old State House, 800 Main St. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission free.
