Minh briefly held presidency of S. Vietnam

Pasadena, Calif. -- Gen. Duong Van "Big" Minh, who was president of South Vietnam for just a few days before the country fell to communist invaders in 1975, has died. He was 86.

Minh, who used a wheelchair, fell at his home Sunday, his daughter Mai Duong said Tuesday. He died Monday night at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.
