Discussion group promotes diversity of ideas

Simon Lazarus has watched the "X-Files" too many times ("The Federalist Society: Their judicial ideology would dismantle accepted social policy," Crossroads, July 1). The Federalist Society is nothing more than a discussion group for attorneys who enjoy talking about legal issues, even when they disagree.

Unlike the American Civil Liberties Union and other groups that Clinton appointees were associated with, the Federalist Society simply exists to promote diversity of ideas within the legal profession. Anyone ...
