Maple syrup adds sweetness to much more than pancakes

We all have our indulgences, and mine is pure maple syrup. "Pancake syrup" is mostly corn syrup with maple flavoring added -- just read the label. It does not have the depth or delicacy of real maple syrup. I prefer to save my money for the real stuff.
