Rose Art says talc isn't used in its crayons

Seattle -- Rose Art, the second-leading maker of crayons in the United States, says it no longer uses talc as a strengthening agent in its crayons.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported last month that Rose Art and other crayons contained asbestos, presumably from talc. The newspaper says Rose Art crayons just recently purchased and tested contained no cancer-causing asbestos.
