Titanic relics brought to Chicago museum 25,000-square-foot exhibit includes rod bearing, plates

Long before the blockbuster movie, the Titanic ranked as the most-
requested exhibit among Museum of Science and Industry visitors.
The curious will now get their wish, as remnants from the ill-
fated passenger liner went on display Thursday.
The relics include a heavily corroded 2-ton connecting rod bearing
and several Edwardian-era egg plates retrieved from the Atlantic
Ocean floor.
