Oconomowoc Common Council approves new taxi service

The Common Council on Tuesday gave the green light to a new taxi service for the city.

In a unanimous vote, council members approved a taxi license for Lois Kimball, who said she plans to start a taxi service to be called All About Town.

The city currently has a taxi service, called the Silver Streak, for use by seniors. Director of Public Safety Hugh Martin endorsed the new taxi service. "I see this as a community service," he said during a committee meeting before the council vote. "It's a great thing for the city."
