Palmyra picking up the pace Peaceful village in the Kettle Moraine embarking on projects to enhance its downtown

Every day, from spring until fall for the last 11 years, Bob and Carol Loefer have sold corn on the cob, melons, pumpkins and other farm-grown produce from the bed of their two-tone blue Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck at the corner of 2nd and Main streets in Palmyra.

They've spent a lot of that time waving at passers-by in this village of 1,696.

"People know me as the lady in the blue truck with the yellow umbrella," said Carol Loefer. "They know this is our spot."

All that traffic is great for business, as the steady stream of customers attests.
