End of the trail is rough on Trail Blazers But sweep by Portland can't erase great season

When the Portland Trail Blazers recover from the pain and
embarrassment of getting swept in the Western Conference finals,
they'll realize what a tremendous season they had.
For now, however, going higher in the playoffs only meant a harder
fall for the Trail Blazers.
"It's hard. I cried," Portland guard Damon Stoudamire said after
the San Antonio Spurs eliminated his team from the best-of-seven
series, 94-80. "I think a couple of other guys teared up, too. This
team has been through so much this year, I don't think people realize
all of what we've been through.
