It's the soccer moms versus the antiquers in Georgetown, and, of course, the antiquers don't stand a chance.

The Georgetown Flea Market -- the 26-year-old Sunday open-air bazaar that has blossomed into a Washington institution known the world over -- is about to be downsized.

Once a week, from March through December, more than 100 vendors squeeze their tents and tables onto the parking lot of Hardy Middle School at Wisconsin Avenue and 34th Street NW.
