Delavan on Sat. Jan. 2nd. Mr. Beers was born Sept. 11, 1912 in
Chicago, the son of Sylvester Piper Beers and Sarah Moulding Beers.
He graduated from Evanston High School and in 1934 Dartmouth
College. He married Mary Ella Waidner on Sept. 16, 1939, in
Wilmette, IL. In World War II he served as Lt. Commander in the US
Navy in both the Atlantic and Pacific theatres. After college he
worked at R.R. Donnelley and Sons in Chicago and was Vice President
