More Racine County residents are taking advantage of a Wisconsin
voting law: registering to vote on election day.
Illinois, Iowa and Indiana require voters to be registered 10 to
30 days before an election. In the Badger State, a qualified
resident can register and vote in one trip.
In Racine County, 5,315 residents registered on the day of the
Nov. 3 election, according to figures from the Racine County clerk's
