New computers and program software in the science "lighthouse" classroom at South High School have given juniors Shawn Weigl and Emily Welch more independence while working on projects during their physics class.

Weigl, Welch and the other physics students in teacher Tom Young's classes work at their own pace using some of the latest technology available only in lighthouse classrooms.
