Mequon wants a two-lane road as a symbol of rural character.
A two-lane road is an atavism to a bygone era that no longer
exists. Traffic crawling during rush hour past beautifully
manicured estates somehow isn't the same as a few cars traveling
past a farmstead with a crooked fence, cows and chickens, an old
John Deere tractor and a rusty pickup truck.
