Broadway blazes back into America's mainstream

Add a new name to such instantly recognizable brands as Hershey,
Nabisco and IBM:
Broadway.
The Broadway theater industry and its 37 New York theaters are
flying as high as the stock market this season. Box office sales are
on pace to set a record of 11.3 million tickets sold when the current
season ends in early June. Theaters that were dark and empty for
years now have shows waiting to get in.
Nationally, 30 million people will have attended a Broadway show
in New York or on tour this season. That translates into a
