Strawberries taste like America
|
Strawberries belong to America, where they grow in every state,
including Alaska. Most are red, plump and juicy descendants of an
American hybrid perfected in the late 19th century.
This simple fruit encapsulates the very spirit of our country,
achieving greatness without pretense. Yet they excite more than the
palate. They inspire a sense of celebration, too, as witnessed by
all the strawberry festivals held across the country.
Almost all the events crown their own queen, and it's no wonder
