Legislation backed by the Tavern League of Wisconsin as a
compromise in the controversy over a new $10,000 fee for tavern
licenses would decriminalize video gambling in taverns.
The bill, drafted at the request of Rep. Terry Musser (R-Black
River Falls), would reduce the fee to between $500 and $1,000. It
has been hastily scheduled for a public hearing today before the
Assembly State Affairs Committee.
