Green Bay philanthropist dies George Kress, 94, founded packaging company, sailed with Cronkite

George F. Kress, who founded Green Bay Packaging Inc., died of natural causes Monday at his home in Allouez. He was 94.

He donated millions to the arts and charitable institutions in Green Bay, was a friend of Norman Vincent Peale and a sailing companion of retired CBS television journalist Walter Cronkite.
