Raise the beaker Mole Day party honors basic unit of chemistry

Strike up the band. Break out those slide rules. It's Mole Day,
a time set aside to honor one of the most basic units in chemistry.
Like the hamburger, the Wienermobile and the typewriter, Mole Day
has its roots right here in Wisconsin. The National Mole Day
Foundation was founded by Maurice Oehler, a chemistry teacher from
Prairie du Chien who retired last year after 40 years of teaching.
Oehler was in Des Moines, Iowa, on Wednesday, speaking to a
convention of science teachers. But his wife, Loretta, reached at
their home, said her husband and his friends have been celebrating
