Jim Scotton, a former dean of journalism at Marquette University,
was not far from the terrorist attack in Cairo Thursday.
The 65-year-old educator about three weeks ago began a two-year
assignment at American University in Cairo.
The university's main gate is about a quarter-mile from the square
where a tour bus was ambushed by militants armed with guns and
Molotov cocktails.
Scotton, reached by telephone Thursday, caught a glimpse of the
charred bus from atop a campus rooftop, ...
