Watermelon spitting? Seeds instead of chaw?
Wimpy, wimpy, wimpy.
But it's as true as it is regrettable, and the only good thing is
it's still reversible. Save the spittoon, I say.
You may have seen that organizers of this weekend's Tobacco
Heritage Days in Edgerton have decided to scrub the traditional
tobacco-spitting contest a spectacle revived at last year's 25th
Heritage Days after an absence of 10 years in favor of spitting
watermelon seeds.
