Sevastopol Town Chairman Gordon Schumacher Jr., under fire for allegedly submitting excessive expense vouchers, has been charged with 28 criminal counts, including misconduct in office, officials said Friday.

Schumacher, 65, has been charged in Door County Circuit Court with three felonies, one accusing him of misconduct in office and two alleging he filed false income tax returns. The other 25 charges are misdemeanor ethics violations in which he is accused of profiting from his posit...
