No doubt about it, Kiss was a cartoon of a band. And as a
cartoon, the group was to guitars what Joe Camel supposedly is to
cigarettes: It made kids want to pick one up and start smokin'.
The long list of stars who claim they became musicians because of
Kiss includes Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, Darius Rucker of
Hootie & the Blowfish and lovable country dumpling Garth Brooks.
