When he gets to work this morning, Bud Selig will have to squeeze
one more task onto his already overstuffed "things to do" list.
He won't mind at all.
Selig, the Milwaukee Brewers' president and acting commissioner
of baseball, plans to place a congratulatory phone call to Minnesota
designated hitter Paul Molitor, who recorded his 3,000th hit Monday
night in Kansas City.
"I saw it on TV," Selig said in a phone interview from his home.
"I'm going to call Paul as soon as I can to congratulate him.
"It's a magnificent accomplishment. He's a great player. When
