Gar-Field Girls Raise Roof With Sounds of Success; Basketball Team Cranks Up The High-Volume Victories

More often than not, the best way to gauge the success of the Gar-Field High School girls basketball team at any point during the season is to go to one of the team's practices and listen.

As a rule, the louder it is -- the more the players are talking with one another, the more they are cheering one another on, the more the gym sounds like barely contained pandemonium -- the better Gar-Field is doing. Lately, it's reached the point that it's hard to hear the basketballs bounce because of the din.
