A movie about an inspirational school band leader is winning "thumbs up" from music lovers, and Waukesha is one of 50 cities across the nation getting a sneak preview tonight.

"Mr. Holland's Opus" is a Walt Disney Co. movie starring Richard Dreyfuss as a school band leader. For the film, Dreyfuss won a best dramatic actor nomination in the Golden Globe Awards.

Although tonight's showings are being billed as the public premiere of the movie, it appears Disney has cultivated a core of supporters of the movie with select early screenings.
