RIBS; Sweet with a little sass that's what caught the taste buds of our barbecue judges

Beer. Bourbon. Sprecher root beer.
These may not sound like ideal flavorings for a meaty main course,
but when it comes to barbecued ribs, each of those beverages plays a
big part in the three top recipes in our summer rib contest.
In August, we asked readers to submit their favorite rib recipes.
Sixty-five readers responded and sent us recipes that subjected pork
ribs to everything from fancy rubs to liquor-laced sauces.
While many of them sounded tempting, after careful study we chose
several finalists and then asked three chefs from the Milwaukee
chapter of the American Culinary Federation ...
