It's called Empty Bowls, and it helps fight local hunger.

Part soup, part art and all heart, the seventh annual Empty Bowls Milwaukee event this Saturday at Milwaukee Area Technical College's Oak Creek campus brings together local chefs who donate about 300 gallons of soup and 175 loaves of bread; artists of all ages and talents who donate 2,000 handmade ceramic bowls; dozens of volunteers who give time and energy; and area residents willing to pay a minimum $15 to support the cause.
