But QB considers himself lucky

The numbing, tingling sensation started at his head and shot through the rest of his body.

Brad Sonneborn feared the worst.

"At first I thought I was paralyzed because I couldn't move," he said.

Sonneborn was lucky.

About 30 seconds after a MacMurray College defender knocked the Concordia University quarterback on his head, Sonneborn regained feeling and movement in his limbs.

He would be OK -- even if he'd never be able to play football again.
