Presidential race brings $35.8 million in TV ads to state

The presidential candidates, outside groups and national parties have spent more than $3 million on television ads in Wisconsin in the final days of the campaign -- pushing the total amount spent on ad buys here to an estimated $35.8 million.

The campaign of Democratic candidate John Kerry spent $528,000 on TV ads from Oct. 17 to 27, while President Bush's campaign spent $34,555 during that period, according to the Journal Sentinel's review of ad buys in the state's five major media markets.
