Soloist expects to be back on pointe after baby

Soloist Tatiana Jouravel made a big impression last season, her first with the Milwaukee Ballet. Her gorgeous, long-lined lyricism in Ben Stevenson's "Preludes," with Adam McKinney, especially sticks in the memory. Who would have guessed that Jouravel was four months pregnant when she danced so spectacularly in the end of May? She and her husband, Milwaukee Ballet Company ballet master Denis Malinkine, are expecting their first child on Nov. 4.

Water St., and the Pabst Theater, 144 E. Wells St. When: Concert times are 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, 1:30 p.m. on Sundays. (The ballet's traditional 7:30 p.m. Sunday shows will be dropped next season.) Tickets: Season subscriptions go on sale Monday through the Milwaukee Ballet office, 643-7677. Current subscribers will automatically receive renewal packets by mail. Subscriptions to all five Milwaukee Ballet events ("The Nutcracker" included) range from $60 to $260.
