State tests woman for Legionnaires' disease

West Bend -- Samples of sputum collected last week from a West Bend woman suspected of having Legionnaires' disease are being tested at the state Laboratory of Hygiene, and results could be available later this week, county health officials said Monday.

The woman's bacterial infection has not yet been confirmed as Legionnaires' disease, and there are no other suspected cases at this time, said Washington County Health Officer Linda Walter. The woman is a patient at St. ...
