Dessert inspiration flows from maple syrup

Easter dinner is not the stuff of memories for me that it is for
some.
Most years it was just the four of us -- my parents, myself and my
brother; we rarely made the three-hour drive to spend the day with
relatives. I'm sure my mother prepared a delicious dinner, but while
I remember several backyard Easter egg hunts, I can't recall a single
menu.
