Mother Goose gift prompts memories

Permit me to reminisce, and blame Betty Williams.
It was the Waukesha woman's Mother Goose collection -- most of it
recently donated to Carroll College -- that sent me back in time.
Among the hundreds of books she donated, now locked safely in a
bookcase at the college library until they can be cataloged, was the
version that First Mate, I and Nana read time and again to Sons One
and Two decades ago -- "Richard Scarry's Best Mother Goose Ever."
Not that it was really the best ...
